The Market Surveillance Department at the CBB's CMSD captures all the relevant information, reports, data and documents received from various sources and stores them in its records and systems for the purpose of regulatory analyses and market surveillance function, and identifies potential cases of contravention of the CBB Law, rules and regulations, and other applicable laws, rules and regulations, particularly contravention of the MAM Module. On-line and off-line alerts are generated based on the information available and analysis made of potential cases of contraventions and such alerts are further examined by the Market Surveillance Department at the CMSD, to evaluate the potential evidences indicating suspicions of contraventions.
