As a matter of prudence, it is recommended that the licensee nonetheless at least checks identification documentation in respect of customers under categories (a) and (b) in Paragraph FC-1.8.1. Investment firm licensees may, of course, continue to apply the verification, certification and due diligence requirements referred to in Paragraph FC-1.8.2 for their own purposes.
