As specified in Article 50 of the Central Bank of Bahrain and Financial Institutions Law (Decree No. 64 of 2006) ("CBB Law"), an Islamic bank licensee wishing to cease to provide or suspend its operations and liquidate its business must notify the CBB in writing at least six months in advance of its intended suspension or cessation, setting out how it proposes to do so and, in particular, how it will treat any Shari'a money placements/deposits, and investment accounts, that it holds.
