For customers falling under Category (f) in Paragraph FC-1.6.1, the customer's name and contact information must be recorded. However, the verification, certification and due diligence requirements in Paragraphs FC-1.2.3, FC-1.2.8 and FC-1.2.11 may be dispensed with. As a matter of prudence, it is recommended that identification documentation be checked by the insurance licensee. Insurance licensees may, of course, apply these verification, certification and due diligence requirements for their own purposes, should they wish to do so.
