This Module applies to the

This Module aims to encourage high standards of business conduct, which are broadly applicable to all
conventional bank licensees , allregulated banking services referred to in Paragraph BC-8.2.1, and all types ofcustomers . The CBB, nevertheless, recognises thatcustomers ' level of sophistication and understanding of risks underlying financial instruments vary. Accordingly, the level of safeguards provided for in the business conduct requirements forretail customers , for instance, are different from those for accredited investors.Amended: January 2011

This Chapter comprises a number of overarching principles of business conduct, with respect to the conduct of
regulated banking services byconventional bank licensees ; these cover the various stages of the life of acustomer relationship.Added: April 2008BC-8.2.4
Conventional bank licensees must maintain adequate records to demonstrate compliance with the requirements in this Chapter.Added: April 2008BC-8.2.5
The CBB will monitor compliance with this Chapter. If required, the CBB may develop more detailed rules and guidance to supplement the existing IBCP.
